TheMoog 0
You've got to love how the papers are so obsessed with us, even when they can't get any information out of the club itself. It'd be nice if Ashley turned round and sued them for printing false stories, just to get at them even more.
sammynb 3640
Oh and it's all over the football media here that Kewell has signed for Galatasaray. Mind you the same media had him signed to Celtic three weeks ago.

Wavey Davey 0
Just remember, we aren't a big club..... Christ almighty! They just dive in feet first, don't they? Never mind if it's true or anything. Didn't they have a Joey Barton 'Sacked!' front page on monday?
JawD 99
Thats absolute bollocks. Firstly understand that everything has a price. While Ashley might not be selling the club, of course if the right offer came in he would consider it. He paid around £250M or whatever for the club including paying off debts so this would be a hell of a deal for him. However, as I understand it was way over what the US firm wanted to pay for it. So, they are interested and offer £320M or whatever it was, Ashley says no £420M and its yours and they say no? Something out of nothing by the sun. Tom 14021
You have to wonder what the point is. Plus half the footballing world are quite happy to take a story as gospel when it's not about them...

Happy Face 29
Is there a grain of truth in any of the 4 stories on that back page? Now I'm wondering if Vans direct's phone number is even 0845 021 0444.
Tom 14021
Well they know he won't come out and say anything about it and that's why these stories keep getting written.
zico martin 90
certainly would be good business for ashley if true, making over 200 million in a year for not actually doing that much!

Park Life 71
certainly would be good business for ashley if true, making over 200 million in a year for not actually doing that much! Exactly. You have to ask yourself it it was totally made up why they didn't bother to make the price more realistic. ie £300m

No, you're probably right. Just saying I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand if you take a look at Ashley's business history. Well, given none of us know how true it is, that's fair enough. But I don't see how the figure the Sun is quoting makes it any more believable than anything else they claim to have the inside track on about us. You seemed to be saying the figure back up there claims somewhat though.
Tom 14021
Does anybody think this is a simple retort to the fact that nobody had a clue about the Jonas transfer? Just a thought like
