Amazing from Murray. I've always thought he was a bit overrated - the first time he plays anyone decent in a Slam and he goes out. Looked that way last night too when he was dead and buried although in fairness that was more down to Gasquet's brilliance than anything Murray was doing wrong. Murray pretty much won me over with the character he showed though.

He has to stop trying that drop shot (~)every game, if only for my own sanity.

I missed the first two sets but saw him dig deep and turn the tide in the 3rd. Fantastic game though. You could see the change in Gasquet as the match went on. Tense stuff at the end. My little boy was in bed and it was quite hard not to cheer!

He's played Nadal before and taken sets from him. He's definitly the underdog in the Nadal match, but anything could happen.

On a separate note, fair play to Gasquet. He played some brilliant stuff, especially later on when he was losing and the crowd had become whipped up in Murrey's favour. That shot over the back of his head to take the point from Murrey was lovely. 9 times out of 10 that would have gone spectacularly wrong - especially when you're losing!

I watch the semis of most major tournaments. Go to the wimbledon final every second year. Hope Federer wins and would like to see Murray do well.

Tennis is for gay people and women. Not being prejudiced just stating a fact.

What about those ex forces compratriots of yours who do the sentry duties

That would be a duty. They are paid to be there.

they are all volunteers, as well you [probably] know

DO you want to do guard duty, Clean vehicles, first aid courses, NBC courses. Or go to wimbledon for 3 weeks?

Anyone who refuses to choose the loafing option because he thinks it'll make him look like a real man is clearly not a real man.

Not sure what you mean by the last bit but never mind. If they want to watch tennis fine. I personally can't stand the game and have never been able to since childhood due to it meaning no cartoons for 3 weeks. Oh and it is very boring. However I feel I must apologise as I seem to have appeared to have been perceived to have used gay in a derogatory term. this was never my intention just my observation from everyone I know who watches it is either gay or a woman. Lastly if there are gays in the armed forces volunteering for Wimbledon then good on them. It is a fucking stupid rule to not allow gay people in the army. I wonder what would have happened at Thermopylae if the combined city states of Greece felt the same way.
