I feel like we are not going to have one of those moments this summer.

Milner leaving is meant to be announced this week, so we might have something along the lines of one coming the other way. I'm shooting in the dark but I'm saying Wednesday this week.

I wouldn't be surprised if we barely signed anyone, but equally I wouldn't be that surprised if the suddenly pulled a huge trophy signing out of no where either....

If we spend £25M on 2 players (like we were trying to on Woodgate and Modric in January), would that be considered exciting?

I'd say it was, and I can definitely see it happening.

You've changed your fucking tune. Aren't you still on the we can get quality for 5p bandwagon??

I'm saying a quarter of what you want to spend would strike the balance of exciting and affordable for me this year.

It's hardly the 10P tax U-turn.

I won't get all up in your shit over this for now. But be careful.

There is a thread somewhere where we crossed swords on the relative value of playaz.

I'm pretty sure i've had the same line on this subject since halfway through last season when you said we need to spend £100M (minimum) in the summer. I think my opinion was, not only is it not sensible to spend that much, but it's would hardly be possible for a team not in Europe. I don't see £25M as stretching plausibility though and never have.

It was 100m over two windows tbf.

And some of our debate was particularly concerning the price of relative quality in todays market iirc. If you're saying as it seems you are 2 for 25m is alright then we are in agreement. :P

After speculation about Arshavin and Turan, signing Aaron Lennon would be a damp squib as far as I'm concerned. He might be alright, but not what I'd call an exciting signing.

He runs like a lass as well. Does constant jazz hands with one of his hands.

Aye, especially when he wears gloves, he does look like he's about to break into tap dance at any moment.
