Jimbo 175
Excellent fight, Khan reminds me of Nigel Benn or Thomas Hearns, but for all the wrong reasons, he has a great punch but a chin that is rather suspect.

Holden McGroin 6975
Gomez's ratio of awesome punches to going down was incredible. Hard bastard.

Papa Lazaru 0
I don't bother with boxing much at all but that was a proper fight, not like some of the shite heavyweight stuff these days which is two big blokes holding onto each other for 12 rounds! As the commentator said it was like a Rocky film the number of punches flying about! I also don't think he should have stopped it quite as quick as he did. But then my opinion has always been the boxers choose to take the risk and know what can happen so they should be allowed to continue until they hit the ground as given the choice not one fighter would ever want it stopped when he was still on his feet. But i do know why they stop it when somebody is taking dangerous levels of punishment. Edited June 22, 2008 by Papa Lazaru

They won't let a fight go to a point where there's starting to be an ever increasing risk of damage, bad for business.

That's one thing that's key in UFC, the slightest sign of danger and the fight is stopped.
snakehips 0
Great fight. The ref probably stopped it at the right moment as Gomez had taken some unbelievable punishment and was only going to get more. Although Gomez had dished out some great shots to Khan, I get the feeling he was a spent force at the time of the stoppage. Excellent stuff. It's a barbaric activity but compulsive viewing imo. Sad, but true.
Jusoda Kid 1
Khan didn't land any clean shots though when he had Gomez on the ropes, glancing blows at best.

Happy Face 29
Quality fight. Was it the fourth where Khan pumelled him from one side of the ring to the other with a flurry of blows to the head after taking a strong body blow himself? The fight probably highlighted more of his flaws than his strengths, but I've never seen him show (or need to show) as much heart.
sweetleftpeg 0
Unfortunately it probably showed that Khan will be a great fighter on the British scene but not the world one. Having no chin is exactly where Hamed came unstuck. The kid is exciting though.
