What a fucking prick the Thompers wanker is!!

He sounds like the sort that pulls up at the lights with his go-faster stripes, arsehole twicthing like a rabbits nose as he wonders whether he's spend enough of daddies pocket money to get the required amount of BHP to burn off the average car at the lights.

Wall to wall Vin Diesel posters in his bedroom and his mam and dad's house I reckon, he's too fast and too furious for me!!

Get back to hanging round Silverlink car park of a night time with all the other pork knuckles who live their lives through their motors.

Tosser.

Aye, I'd rather be dead cool and get my adrenaline rush by going down the pub and drinking my wages on a Saturday like you super-coolies!

Thing is dick wad going on the drink isn't dead cool, its what we do with our mates (who we don't pick by the car they drive or what they are packing under their bonnet btw) and its a good laugh, you obviously think that what you do in your car (driving round the bigg market with your silencer off) is dead cool, when in actual fact all those you pass are thinking what a fucking charver has he got nowt better to do of a saturday than to drive round the town!!

You absolute loser!

Most of my mates don't even drive and I never drive around nor do I modify my cars. Tosser.

Aye you do modify them, the minute you sit in them they become wanker-on-wheels-mobiles.

Honest Thompers, you have made and are making yourself look a right sad cunt in this thread.

Fucking cringing here :icon_lol:

I cringed when I seen your old avatar. Thankfully it's now a much more attractive proposition :icon_lol:

Spunkning in your pants at the sight of a fucking Vauxhall, what kind of car enthusiast are you?

Clarkson would have a field day with you.

The generally accepted definition of a sports car is two-seat, two-door, front-engine / rear-wheel drive, lightweight and relatively simple to give the driver the purest driving experience. It has absolutely nothing to do with top speed, rallying or hatchbacks with coupe body-shells on. I would have thought you would know that working in the motor industry.

Source? :icon_lol:

Er, it is generally accepted. Perhaps you should learn the definitions before commencing a discussion?

How? It's got leather, climate control, cruise control etc. Surely enough to be called semi-luxurious.

Well to me no they aren't sports in the purest sense of the word.

The concept as you've proved in terms of what defines a sports car (hint it's not cos it competes in a "sport") is lost on you.

Now get back in the garage and grease your arsehole up with some Castrol so you're fatha can get in your back doors before your Sunday dinner is ready.

It's not a hatchback though.

Same chassis though, right?

What about the camshaft, cylinder head, pistons, turbo, intercooler, clutch, gearbox etc?

If two components are made to exactly the same specification, but during their working life one has 30% more force exerted on it, which would you expect to break first?

I wouldn't expect any of those components to break, and most certainly not in the period of time I'm likely to own it...

Same chassis though, right?

No? Obviously not...

Do you think GM make a special floorpan for a niche model?

:icon_lol: I don't know if you know what my job is, but it involves manufacturing car chassis and I can guarantee you that they aren't the same. Even diesel and petrol models of the same car are different, let alone a different shaped car!

You'll know then, that what car manufacturers like most is profit.

So when they spend all that precious r&d money on chassis development, they want as much money as possible back on that outlay.

So the Ford Focus chassis is also used for the C-Max, Mazda 3 and Volvo S series. Likewise, the VW Golf chassis is spun off into a myriad different versions of Golf, Audi A3, Skoda Octavia and Seat Leon.

There is no way on gods earth they would make a chassis specifically for a low volume, niche model like a coupe conversion.

False. The Focus and Volvo front subframes are made on completely different production lines and the Volvo has a series of internal re-inforcers that the Ford frames don't have.
