The Fish 11098
I know my Uncle's life's been turned upside down because of his ex-wife. He's got a kid who's been utterly convinced he's the spawn of the Devil, his son from another marriage isn't inviting my Uncle's girlfriend to his own wedding because of the fear that the two sides won't be able to be grown ups for one day. That of course spills over onto the rest of the family. really fucking petty. The whole thing started because he cheated on his wife and she not only sued for divorce but for sole custody, got the kid to write a letter to the judge saying why she doesn't want to see her dad. She was 6 years old. As in the case Fop talked about the judge knew full well the girl was frog-marched through that letter, but there's nothing he can do about it in the eyes of the law. well, that's how my Dad described it to me, to be honest I shudder at the Jeremy Kyle-ness of it all. Happy Face 29
The thing is, the way the press work at the minute I bet Social Services are shit scared to let kids anywhere near adults with violence problems etc nowadays. If a child dies in the care of someone who might have twatted them once etc the press jump on it and crucify them. If only that were true. There is still the presumption of contact even when the dad has been violent towards his partner and children, has a criminal record for violence etc. That's part of the reason so many children have ended up dead - there has usually been a history of violence directed towards the childrens' mother. Just as many cases of filicide include the mother as the father. I assumed this, but checking Wikipedia raised an interesting fact, studies have shown a child is in more danger from the mother than the father up to the age of 8 years old... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filicide

Guest alex
More Quincy than QC. Quincy got all the birds you see. Probably the least believable thing about the show. Which is saying quite a lot.
