Nobby Solano future manager?

FORMER Newcastle United favourite Nobby Solano has revealed that he was "shocked and disappointed" to be shown the door by West Ham United.

And while he admits to looking for a new club in England he knows that he will not be coming back to St James’s Park.

Hammers boss Alan Curbishley has released Solano but the former United man is still very much involved for his country.

Indeed, he rang me from Chicago this week where Peru were beaten 4-0 by Mexico in a friendly on Sunday night.

He is now back in Peru preparing for the World Cup qualifiers with Colombia in Lima on Saturday and Uruguay in Montevideo on Tuesday night.

And he told me: “When the West Ham manager spoke to me and said that he was allowing me to go I was shocked and disappointed.

“I think the reason he has let me go is that he has plenty of other players at Upton Park who can play on the right, like my former Newcastle colleagues Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer.

“So now I am looking for another club and I hope to stay in England for another two years, and after that I will return to Peru.

“Everybody knows what I feel about Newcastle and those fans, but it would be difficult me to ever return there.

“The reason I was forced to leave Newcastle was because of family reasons and this situation has not changed.

“But one day I might be back at Newcastle – as manager!”

Meanwhile, Solano is backing United’s current manager Kevin Keegan to bring the good times back to St James’s Park.

He added: “If there is one man who can turn things round at St James’s then it is Kevin Keegan.”

It's called a player/fan relationship.

Didn't expect you to get that one Torres :)

It`s called bullshit. A lame excuse for underacheivement.

I'm sure a multi millionaire footballer and musician with a family and over 80 international caps really feels bad about his life...

Not his life..................but his trophy cabinet is another matter!

So according to you, only players who win trophies can be heroes for their clubs? Guess there's a lot of clubs out there with no heroes then. Fans shouldn't love their "underachieving" players if they don't win a trophy?

You don't half talk shite sometimes. I thought you were cleaning up your crack?

I said he might regret not having won some major honours, what the fuck is wrong with that?

Love him if you want. I never said you shouldn`t.

Solano = hero

so djimi traore is a better player because he won the Champions League Torres?

gtfo

No, but a happier one.

:) What bollocks. Tell me, how the fuck do you quantify happiness? Surely its a measure of ones own expectations?

Yes, and surely winning something would make a footballer a happier person.....................seeing as that is their prime objective? How is that bollocks? That must be why they celebrate so wildly when the do win something! :)

Or avoid relegation, or get promoted? Or so maybe their 100th goal and so on. Of course winning a trophy makes them happy, but how can you say 100% that Traore was a happier player than Solano? How do you know how happy or not Solano is or was? You dont, and neither do I. Like I say, you can't quantify it. Each individual is different. For example, two players win the same trophy, are they equally happy? I;d say probably not as they may have different expectations. Follow?

I think you`ll find I didn`t say that. :)

I never mentioned Traore once.

Fuck me you are hard work.

No, but you said winning the CL would make him (Traore) happier than Solano. I am saying, you don't know that.
