No, his contract is up next summer and he's made it clear he wants out. Reading's chairman just doesn't splash money about is all. Shorey's a perfectly capable left back when he's in the right frame of mind. Looked brilliant in the Championship-winning season. Not great defensively though, but he has a cracking free kick on him.
