Holden McGroin 6783
I seem to remember that Shearer played as lone striker for a while when he returned (Tommasson's position was a mystery at that time and Tino was already gone) and there was a desperate need for a second man to partner Al because he was constantly marked out the game and we had almost zero supply rate (Stephen Glass and Gillespie, who was right off his form) In came Andersson and I remember being relieved. Then I saw him play. Curse you Kenny! I just dont think we were ready for the headband.
Wavey Davey 0
Stephan Guivarch. Being fair he only played two or three times. Gullit already had him out the door when he became manager.

Guest Stevie
The facts at the end of the second Keegan era... Premier league era highlighted. What a bollocks list including 4 trips to the big four and a club bereft of any confidence at all, without them it would be 6 6 5. That list is bollocks, if it was over 121 games you'd see the difference. To be fair Keegan's first 21 games in 1992 would be equally as bad. Fop 1
It's pointless to judge Keegan at all on his second spell. He came in firefighting, never got the summer he or anyone else would have wished and left. Be interesting to see the next managers first 20-odd games though. I agree he had a hard run, but the list can't factor in who anyone played or the quality of any squads inherited, just the numbers.

That's what makes it bollocks, or at least just numbers you can't make any real judgement on (although clearly people are and will do).

Guest Stevie
I think its a good measure overall, but take Souness, half of his wins came against terrorist teams in the UEFA Cup the likes of Panonions. As I said in 1991/92 Keegan's first 21 games would've been as bad the recent record. Should be over 50 odd games at least. Smooth Operator 10
Ranking that shower of shit is like ranking your 5 least favourite meals. For me: 1, Dog shit on toast (Souness) 2, Spunk wrap (Guillet) 3, Used tampon tea loaf (Allardyce) 4, Anal scappings on ryvita (Roeder) 5, Knob cheese sarny (Dalglish)

Keegans first 21 games.... P21 W11 D3 L7 Won 52.4% Drew 14.2% Lost 33.3% Points 57.1% Which would still have him only below George Martin. That's not an argument btw, just checked it out of interest. I understand the inability of stats to paint a full picture. But I like them.

We lost 5 in a row by the time we played Derby, inc a 6-2 reverse at Wolves. We lost to Blackburn 3-1, I think Brighton or Millwall beat us 1-0 and there were others.
