Phrases you never hear anymore

Talking to a mate about how transient language is and how quickly phrases which seemed ubiquitous can disappear almost as quickly as they arrived.

For example,

"that's The Bomb"

"yes way" (as a reply to no way)

"Not!"

I was trying to think of a phrase that started relatively recently but has endured and couldn't think of anyone in particular

Not so much lost as current and I think I've said this before but the absolute constant use of "you know" 20 times in every sentence is driving me fucking insane - I blame Beckham.

Not so much lost as current

So not so much the thread as the polar opposite? :nah:

Okay then "You know" replaced "Oh, right" in the driving me insane stakes :D

"Hadaway 'n' Shite" Always smiled when I heard me dad say that.

Would you not hear that if you still played leavergo?

I don't know. Do kids even play that sort of thing any more?

I think they do, but they stab each other in the knee caps rather than tig each other.
