Scottish Mag 3
Any ideas how to pack Cd's as im whacking a few up on ebay. Get a CD envelope Open CD envelope Insert the CD into the envelope Seal Envelope Write address for person who has purchased on it. Add enough stamps to cover postage - If unsure check with the Local Post Office where they will weight, tell you the cost and charge you the amount (If you need to know how to pay someone at the Post Office I suggest starting another thread Post the envelope in a post box or at your local Post Office

Meenzer 15873
When I had my last big eBay clearout, I bought a box of 100 jiffy bags from Staples. Worked a treat, though there's probably cheaper places.
Tom 14021
Yeh I guess. I think I'm going to sell quite a lot of stuff because It's going to be hell bringing all this stuff back!

That will give you an idea what others are charging and you can also look at the auctions that have ended for the same items giving you an idea of how much they go for on average. However there is very little to be made selling CDs online now, what with people downloading etc I would be surprised if you got anymore than a couple of quid for some of those and it can be more hassle than its worth especially if you have e-bay fees/paypal fees on top of that. Tooj 17
Reading threads like this only enforces my belief that some people wouldn't be able to survive without forums.
The Mighty Hog 539
It'd probably be cheaper to buy a fair sized roll of bubble wrap and then some brown packing paper. It barely takes 5 minutes to wrap once in bubble wrap and then again in the paper plus you can re-inforce the corners more which take the most punishment. That's how I used to do CD's and vinyl when I was flogging some clutter. Plenty of sellers on ebay sell the packaging so the prices can be quite low. Meenzer 15873
Aye, eBaying CD albums in particular doesn't seem to be particularly profitable these days, unless they're special editions or whatever. The "Used and New" sellers on Amazon are further proof of that. I'd probably take a few of them off your hands if they were cheap enough mind. Happy Face 29
The worst part of this is that you want to do it for a living. The bank manager giving you your loan would shit his pants. Edited June 2, 2008 by Happy Face
