IrishMag 0
Surprised he'd go to Italy. Unless he fancies the challenge of restoring some of the old glory of Italian football, which IMO has lost a lot of its stock in recent years. Mancini to Chelsea? Or eh.. Citeh? Those scandals haven't helped, Italian clubs were for a long time the most feared in Europe, not exactly that way now. What the national side did to win the world cup was a fantastic feat, especially because of what was going on back home at the time.

Jimbo 175
Lisbon - Jose Mourinho is set to become coach of Italian football champions Inter Milan, news reports in his native Portugal said on Monday. The Publico broadsheet said that Mourinho will sign a three-year contract before the end of the week. The deal is allegedly worth 9 million euros (14 million dollars) per season. The sports paper A Bola said that Mourinho has asked Inter to sign Barcelona's Deco and Frank Lampard from Chelsea as new players. Mourinho has been out of coaching since being sacked at Chelsea last September. He worked with Lampard during his term at the English top side and also with Deco at Porto where both won the Champions League title. There was no confirmation from Milan, where Alberto Mancini said several weeks ago that he will step down after four years as coach after the season despite a contract until 2012. Inter won a third straight Serie A title but then lost the cup final to Roma last weekend. Italian dailies reported that Inter president Massimo Moratti would meet with Mancini over the next days to discuss the future, seemingly trying to persuade him to stay on. "I talked to him by telephone. He was exhausted after a hard season. Therefore I have no intention to urge him. On the contrary, I want to let him relax. "It will be a conversation between people who like each other. I, for myself, like Mancini very much," Moratti ti told La Gazzetta dello Sport. Not because they beat my shitty little football country but they didn't deserve to beat my shittly little football country, diving cheating cunts. Australia played very well against them and were unlucky. Yeah, the penalty was dubious but the player who made the tackle was reckless as it was one of those where if you don't get the ball it'll probably be a penalty. He didn't and (somewhat unfairly) a penalty was given but if the defender had stayed on his feet the player wouldn't have had the opportunity to go down. It's not something you particularly like to see but loads of other players would have done the same thing. Particularly diving, cheating cunts like Tim Cahill. Agree about Cahill, just some days I wish he was a diving cheating cunt for our team and not the scouse mackems. And Lucas Neill is a headless twat, so I can't argue there, I just wish he had of broken the italian players leg as at least then he would have touched him. Alex, if it wasn't for that game I could easily agree they were deserved winners and from the quarter finals they got stronger but I don't know if they were a better team than France, maybe they had the Fop/Sven luck. Back to Jose, there is no doubt he is there to bring some of the appeal back to the Serie A and Inter's CL campaign.

Hadrian 0
cant see the sense in him taking drogba to inter , zlatan is better than drogba for me anyway , and adriano is back to something of his old form .
tinofbeans 91
for me their only real weakness is at full back (inter that is). neither of the left or right backs are great players. and drogba is at the stage of his career where he would welcome a move. seeing as jose and him get on so well its a marraige made in heaven.... I R Toon Fan 0
Was it about his tactics? because they are pretty similar to the Italian way of playing. Anchor man and one up top.
IrishMag 0
I suppose what I meant was we've always been used to having Italian teams in the latter stages of the European Cup, but this hasn't been the case in recent years. Maybe Mourinho fancies himself as the man to change this with Inter. They certainly have the talent at their disposal. Agree that tactically Italy may suit Mourinho. However, did he come up against many teams adopting the same one up top style at Chelsea?

Would have like to see him back in England but hey.
