When I Googled "Rui Costa Newcastle" to try and find anything, this post was near the top. Didn't realise he'd actually flown over there, though. Sad that we somehow ended up with Maric instead. I must admit I have no recollection of Gullit trying to sign him for us. We were linked with a lot of players at that time though.
