Bombadil 0
Anyone catch Keegan' post match interview? "I'm wondering what I can do next season to bridge that gap and the answer is nothing, I don't have enough money, so I'll carry on with what I've got, The owner thinks we can challenge the top 4, and he's wrong." This on Sky? In the BBC interview he makes the point but he's talking more about the strength of the top 4 rather than having a go at the chairman and owner. Beeb interview here around 1min 30sec : http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/m...day/7384594.stm To be honest, it's fairly depressing stuff from Keegan, but you've got to love him for his honesty. I just hope he doesn't get disillusioned and throw in the towel at any point soon, because I'm really optimistic that if anyone can turn us around, it's him. I do think he's overreacting though - it may be hard to challenge the top 4 year in, year out, but it's definitely not impossible to grab 4th spot if you have a good season. Everton did it a few seasons ago, Spurs should have done it a couple of years ago but only missed out on the last day of the season, and Everton could have done it again this season if the wheels hadn't come off in the last few weeks. NJS 4431
It's also only 4 years since a win at Anfield on the last day would have seen us 4th. As I said and as Bombadil mentioned it only takes one off year to give someone a chance - for example it would be interesting to see what would happen at Man U if Fergie quits after the CL final. Guest alex
It's a top 3 anyway for me as Liverpool never actually challenge for the league.

And if the owners continue down the road they've started, it's only a matter of time before the club implodes up its' own anus.
Happy Face 29
I was canny mongoloided, but I remember one bit of passing where we had Chelsea helplessly chasing after the ball. I was creaming myself. Allardyce would have been seething at the players for having the audacity to do anything but hoof the ball back into Chelsea posession.

Imho this is the most refreshing thing, not only in contrast to Fat Sam's reign, but also to the preceding incompetents. The team is rarely resorting to just kick the ball up front in hope it might actually reach a team mate, but to bring it up front in form of a passing game and by working as a collective. If we can get a few players in who are better passers of the ball it only can get better.

Agreed, there was one point yesterday where we must have put twenty passes together and I thought to myself you can tell it's a KK team, SA could only dream of that sort of possession. Yup, you're right, and not just versus Chelsea.
