Batman: The Dark Knight

Yeah, but Ang Lee's version didn't sit well with fans or critics. I think the climactic battle scene was a massive let down, the bad guy becoming an amorphous blob and Eric Bana's two dimensional acting left the audiences feeling pretty apathetic to the ending.

Hopefully Ed Norton will give Bruce Banner/ The Hulk a little more depth and humour. Still think the Hulk is one of Marvel's weakest characters, far far better characters and stories available to them.

the superhero thing is fine if they do the character stories, it's god awful if they do the "Let's just spend loads of money on the action scenes and forget about any kind of plot." but that's true of all action films

I dont mind superhero flicks if they do them dark (Batman Begins). Not so keen on the nicey nice approach (Fantastic four).

I agree. Parky made me laugh earlier when he said "It'll be good if it's dark". Why's that? The Batman TV show was better than any of the films.

This whole superhero film thing really needs to fuck off now. Along with the underdog sports comedy.

They do seem to be doing lots of them, that new Will Smith one called Hancock looks like it could be good mind.

A simple: "it was shite" would have sufficed. :D

:D Try sitting in the pub next to the twat. I had that dubious pleasure for an hour or so after the match. B)

Bollocks. Batman, and Batman Begins are both really good films, the tv show was a camp-fest.

The thing about superheros is that the characters themselves are dark on the whole, certainly the Marvel characters. The films have got to reflect that.

Ironman should be good though.
