Gemmill 45956
www.siteadvisor.com Installs as an add-on to Firefox, and then when you do a Google search gives a green tick next to sites that are safe, and a red x next to sites that aren't - ones that will put dodgy shit on your computer. Costs nowt. Also adds an icon in the bottom right of your browser which goes red if you go to a site it doesn't like the look of. Foxmarks is also a good add-on which allows you to sync your Firefox bookmarks across various computers. Also, if you were to buy a new computer, all of your bookmarks are stored on a server so you would just need to reinstall foxmarks, log in and all of your bookmarks would replicate onto the new computer. Lazarus 0
Cleans up the shite on your pc http://www.ccleaner.com/ Perfect Disk (defragger) http://www.raxco.com/products/perfectdisk2k/ NOD32 (Anti Virus) http://www.eset.com/ XP Smoker (Tweaks your OS to give it extra oomph) http://www.xp-smoker.com/ Windows Server 2003 (Just like XP but stable) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Server_2003 This is now my OS of choice. I'd also recommend looking at the TinyXP versions of XP - theres also stripped down versions of Vista, Office and Server2003. Best for those serious gamers (where every mb of ram and clock cycle counts) and those with systems whose specs arnt that great. XP can run on 40mb of ram, beieve it or not!). Sir Bob Almighty! 0
Exact Audio Copy - A great little program used to make perfect quality rips of any CD at very decent speeds. http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/en/index.php/...urces/download/ Trojan Guarder Gold - Has helped me on more than one occasion when no other anti trojan program has, just install it, and it will kill the trojan within seconds, uninstall after use though as its a trial and is annoying. http://download.cnet.com/Trojan-Guarder-Go....html?tag=mncol

I installed it and AVG flagged it as a trojan! Sometimes things like that don't like each other much (sometime purposely so). Probably doesn't mean it is, but then again. At the end of the day with sensible security you shouldn't need it in the first place.
