Lost Season 2 USA Thread

How long do you think Desmond has been down there for?  The whole placed seemed like it was kitted out okay.

That tune was freaking me out as well ;)

very strange, must be even more to the place. The Island does kinda lose it's natural feeling in a way, I must say, as it is strange to see the actors in "in doors" places now.

Desmond seemed to know and almost expect Jack to come round strange... to be continued i guess

The episode was fantastic; 1 question answered, another dozen asked - best one yet for me.

One thing I found strange is that Desmond has washing up liquid and fresh fruit down there; it would surely suggest that either (a) he hasn't been there very long (which would seem very unlikely) or (B) there's a second entrance/exit to the hatch somewhere.

If it is (B) though, it would completely defeat the object of sealing the hatch so tightly from above, and putting 'quarantine' on the door. Why bother if you can easily get in or out from elsewhere? It doesn't make sense.

Another theory flying around is that there is a massive city on the island over the other side which would explain how he got the fruit (maybe delivered from somewhere).

It throws up so many questions and leaves you guessing.

Haha, what, so he gets all his food and stuff delivered from the local Tescos, all the way to his quarantined hatch burried deep in the middle of the jungle of DOOM? How didn't I think of that ;)

Basically can't see there being any kind of local city or whatever either; for a start, the people there would have seen the plane explode; with all the smoke coming off it and stuff. You would have thought that the French woman would have found the city after 16 years of being on the island as well (especially since she's mapped the whole place out).

From what I've seen of series 1, it's shite. Does that count as a spoiler?

Just watched episode 2

Bit slow paced, bit of a filler but it raised more questions.

What organisation does Desmond work for?

Where did all of that food come from?

Rumours going around that the Shark was branded with the same logo that Desmond had on his overalls?

Good shot of the tail section people at the end. Michelle Rodriguez \o/

Oh and that scene with Kate

  • 2 weeks later...
Nah, it would be Spar or 7-Eleven judging by where they are.

I just hope the final explanation is worthy of all of the theory

Well apparently the whole cast ( except one person) have signed up to LOST for the next 7 years so I dont expect there to be a 'final' explanation for quite some time yet!

Cant wait to download episode 4 tomorrow night ( or is it thursday morning?? anyone know the difference in the time from US to here?)

Thursday morning.

Good that episode 3 explained a lot of things. Ana Lucia's double cross was :)

I'm not too sure about Jin tbh. He could be with the others. If Desmond has been down there 3 years when do they usually send replacements?

The fact that it is a zoology research island explains the Quarantine on the inside of the hatch.

:) I don't really understand this thread like. Is it to tell people what happens before or after they've seen it?

attention seeking tbh.

It's for people like me who are currently watching the second series being shown in the US ( as opposed to the first series being shown on channel 4). We can chat about whats happening without spoiling it for people still watching the first series.

I'm not sure why you think Jin could be one of the others. Jin has only been separated from Michael and Sawyer a couple of days, surely he wouldn't have been 'converted' that quickly? If the plan is for desmond to be replaced i cant see how this tactic is going to work, none of the crash survivors will stay down that hatch for the next few years now!

Lost is on C4 in a few minutes, i've not seen an episode of it before. From what i've heard about it at work it seems stupidly tedious "ooooh they answered one of the questions from series 1 episode 4 this week, but start another 8"

i'm a fair guy i'll watch at least half an hour before deciding if it's shite or not
