David Kelly 1297
Everyone about my age or older must have seen 'The Towering Inferno'. It used to be on TV about once every 6 months. Along with 'The Poseidon Adventure'. The Poseidon Adventure is much better though!

Probably for all the stars it has in it.

Brock Manson 0
I'd place The Green Mile in there somewhere. One of the only films that have really moved me. Seems a bit strange to single out just the one Star Wars film as well. I enjoyed all three of the original trilogy. I loved Full Metal Jacket as well. All down to taste I guess. David Kelly 1297
Amazingly, a list of one hundred films can only accomodate 100 films though. What would you hoy out to accomodate your choices. Personally I'd replace Bladerunner with Magnolia for a start. Then I'd chuck Trainspotting and get Amelie in there. 'Ice Cold in Alex' for 'Point Break'. Although I like the latter, it's nowt special imo. Point Break is craking at what it does but I don't see how it could ever be considered a great film. Bizare to see it in a top 100 that also has Tokyo Story and Pather Pachali in it. Amelie should be in there but I still prefer A Very Long Engagement. Oldboy is a surprising omission from a world cinema point. Paris Texas should be there.
Guest alex
Surprised there's no 'Shawshank Redemption' which is good if a bit overrated imo just because it's nearly always on these lists and near the top too.
Brock Manson 0
No Saw? It's my favourite film, but it's not the best film I've seen. That and the vitriol that would've resulted had I stated a case for its inclusion wouldn't have been worth the hassle.

I would have it in there but your right it does get a bit overratted. I think it's number 2 in the IMDB top 250.

I was annoyed with myself afterwards as Sexcetera is on every night!

David Kelly 1297
The Usual Suspects is another I'd have on there. I hadn't picked up on that not being there. Having seen it about 100 times now it has lost some of its power but it's still a brilliant film. The Omission is Millers Crossing is another travesty and was Lebowski there? I was trying to follow both but it just wasn't happening and in the end both programmes suffered.
