Ok, I'm not shooting the messenger or taking the piss or owt, and I know you yourself have rated this 2/5. But I just can't see this one happening, not in a million years. Even if Berbatov does move to Man U, they're still not prolific up front. Ronaldo and Berbatov would get goals and sure they've got goals from elsewhere, but I really think selling Tevez would be an unlikely move and certainly not to a premiership club. Then we get to the player, there is no fucking way Tevez would swap the fat wage, title aspirations, Champions League aspirations and all the other trappings that come with being a Man Utd player for us.

 

If he were to leave, he'd go abroad, Italy or Spain (most likely).

 

I know you're only retelling a rumour you've heard, but I think this one is blind hope, based on nothing more concrete than someone's idle fantasy.

The thing about the Shearer transfer was that we were legitimately challenging for the title, playing immaculate football and it was his hoem time club, this time round, none of those things are true.

 

Saviola is one thing, I think there's an outside chance of him coming, but I'd put "Tevez to Newcastle" in the same camp as "Shola to Real Madrid"

hmm would honestly be staggered by that with them just having paid out a lot of money for him (I heard 32mil) though I can believe jonas, colo, himself and saviola are mates and you can never rule stuff out but man u need an extra striker not a one in one out (unless you count the likelyhood of saha leaving) situation whereas Saviola only played 9 times for real last season and would probably want to leave (especially with the year long loan idea) for some first team football if nothing else
