I don't blame you for who you are, it's how you've been brought up and the environment around you which has shaped and moulded you. When you receive no attention as a bairn and you don't get much praise when you become an adult you feel the need to do it yourself to compensate. I've seen this trait in loads of people, older people than me or you as well. On the other side of the coin only children are the same too, they're often spoilt are told they're the best thing in the world, and they truly believe they are, many of them grow up nobheads like yourself.
