Happy Face 29
Happy Face beginning to sound like MattM4 with Ameobi! Taylor has been immaculate in this recent good run by the way. Should have heard me when he went piling forward for his shot at goal and slowly ambled back as we were under attack. Would've made Bernard Manning blush. Howay man, you can't think he needs to go on about the fans that much and highlight how he was last off the pitch......again. It must be some kind of record to suck 52,000 cocks all at once. TheMoog 0
Did people have the hump with Lee Clark when he came back here because he'd played for the Mackems? No! To be fair Clarky did pull a blinder when he wore that SMB t-shirt at the cup final, and I doubt he'd ever have kissed the scum's badge while playing for them. I've got nothing against Chops because deep down we know he's a Toon fan, personally I wouldn't have signed for them if I were in his shoes though. It's important that, while Taylor is attempting to suck all of our cocks, we take care not to swallow his bollocks!

I have no qualms with him wanting to sign for mackems for the sake of his career, but you can't call yourself a toon fan and kiss that badge. On the subject of professionalism, was nice to see Chimbonda not celebrate after his goal against Portsmouth. He said afterwards he would never do so because of how they treated him when he was there and he had lots of respect for them. I doubt Chopra would have done the same on Saturday, but we'll never know, not til next season at least.

Happy Face 29
Mort: Taylor deal a priority18 hours ago Newcastle chairman Chris Mort has vowed to thrash out a new deal with blossoming defender Steven Taylor. The 22-year-old was offered a new contract in September after establishing himself in the first team, but was unimpressed with what was on the table. He has since continued to enhance his reputation under new manager Kevin Keegan and, having insisted all along his only wish is to stay with the club he supported as a boy, has made himself a key member of the side. Mort said: "Steven Taylor is a young and very promising defender in the team. We would like him to stay at Newcastle United long term. We will sit down with Steven and his father, and hopefully work something out." Mort has already been charged with the task of persuading star striker Michael Owen his future remains on Tyneside, and while the issues are different with Taylor, he will hope to bring an end to the long-running saga in short order. Greenwich-born Taylor, who was brought up in Newcastle, has been represented by father Alf throughout his career to date, but has now engaged London-based agent Leon Angel to help look after his interests. Keegan, Mort and executive director (football) Dennis Wise are currently considering their options for strengthening the squad after last Sunday's 2-0 derby victory over Sunderland finally secured their place in the Barclays Premier League for next season. The Magpies will inevitably be linked with a series of potential targets over the weeks and months ahead with the manager having already signalled his intention to recruit "four or five" top-class players. However, he believes Owen's retention beyond the terms of his current deal, which expires at the end of next season, could be his biggest signing, while keeping Taylor and striker Obafemi Martins are also priorities. http://ukpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5iP...r7XVD29ZJSxXNJA Glad to hear he's got a proper agent, hopefully someone who'll more sensibly value his clients youthful promise. Guest alex
Serie A wasn't shit when Shevchenko was at Milan. It's pretty weak (comparatively) at present though.
