Well to be honest if you want a definition of obsession have a look over there.

Maybe 10 threads maximum here, there must be over a hundred over there...

I'm not talking about Sunderland in general... it's making reference to what's been said on the SMB. I doubt they're saying "Have you read what they said on Toontastic?" in every other post....

Yeh they never really quote their sources

It's always 'a mag at work', 'this mag i know' and then they spout some shite they made up.

It's the end of the season, we're safe now and there's not that much to talk about until the transfer hype machine kicks into full gear. Having a laugh at those clowns helps pass a bit of time.

Nah, they're fair game. They've spent the last week giving it large on there about the stuffing they're going to give us etc. Payback..Karma..call it what you want.

I've not said a word to any of the mackems yet.

I'd rather keep them at bay for a while, they'll not be inclined to talk shite as long as I've got the "Bwaaaahahahahahaha!" in my back pocket. Why waste it the first day back at work. As soon as one of them pipes up with a rash and foolhardy point of view I'll draw on that broad sword and slaughter them with it.

I know no mackems that live in Leeds. I've all this pent up bile that I want to spew in their direction, but there's no bugger around!

Should have been in the Oak on Sunday, full of the wankers. With extremely shit banter.

I've kept very quiet like as I work with quite a few of them. Never mentioned anything then got a phone call as I'd changed my ringtone. So about 6 of them sat around me and then all of a sudden all you can hear is "Dirty Mackems, Dirty Monkey Mackems."

Trust me, I would have traded their shit banter my family's.

I would have thought they'd have shut up after the first goal went in for a good thirty minutes, that's normally what happens....

Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn is asking fans who intend to buy the 2008/09 home kit to help the club by shopping at official SAFC stores ONLY.

The Black Cats launch their new home kit next month and it will be available to buy online and in club stores at the Stadium of Light, Debenhams (Sunderland) and Sainsbury's (Washington) from May 7.

If the kit is bought at any other retail outlet, it will not benefit SAFC - and can even help a rival club!

Quinn said: "I'm sure most fans are aware that the club doesn't earn from Sunderland kit sold in other stores but what they may not be aware of is that by buying from other retail outlets they could actually be investing in the success of rival clubs.

"I'd like to encourage supporters who are looking to buy the new home kit to use our official stores. Only by buying direct from SAFC can fans be assured that any profits will be invested directly back into the club to support Roy Keane and the team for next season."

I think they might be on about Mr.Ashley.

Watch out for those sugarpuffs lads!

People like Skol and other merry jesters return to spending sizeable parts of their life on the Sunderland fans site (shurely shome mishtake). Skol you clearly are a bit of a know all student. Please tell me why you spend so much time on here? Although obviously not when you weren't doing well. You obviously started supporting NUFC when Keegan first came, like, no doubt 35,000 other people at SJP on Sunday. Your opinion counts for jack all.

My Dad's mate got a ticket at Sid James for the executive boxes. He went up and asked Ashley for a photo thinking Ashley was from up here. He said no bother mate in a thick cockney accent. When my Dad's mate told someone in the same executive box he said "Of course he's not from up here. Doesnt support Newcastle either. Only reason he bought the club is cause his mate [possibly Daniel Levy] owns Spurs and he wants to compete. His only ambition is to finish above Spurs".

On another anyone hear Keegan after the game? "Hey that atmosphere out there....you just can't buy that......well Mike Ashley has but....." The interviewer just laughed at him. Idiot.

It's stuff like this that really cracks me up.

My Dad's mate/ My cousin/ My brothers Mate/ A friend of a friend...

They always do this to make themselves feel better!

I met Mike Ashley on Sunday and cracked on with him for a bit and he was sound as anything, not quite a Cockney accent either he was quite posh to be honest. (ah he is from Buckinghamshire)

& for not supporting Newcastle i think the fact he was singing on Sunday in the black bull, wearing a nufc shirt - even though it's recent support due the fact he owns the club - at least it's something.

I keep forgetting that Niall Quinn was born and bred in Sunderland...

:P

The thing that makes posts of that vein even more ironic is when someone came on and said they'd met Wise who told them we were signing some top players it was met with howls of "bollocks", "liar" etc.

Yeh exactly.

Every mackem has their own little anecdote that every other mackem will believe is perfectly palpable and true no matter how far fetched.

See the Ronaldinho thread for that :icon_lol:
