Joe Calzaghe Vs Bernard Hopkins

I think Calzaghe might have won imo, just though. I don't know how one judge gave it by 5 rounds to him. Well pleased for him though and it's shit when a fighter just tries to spoil for most of the fight, which is all Hopkins did after about the 3rd round.

 

 

My thoughts too, it was a shit fight all in all, Hopkins got his tactics from Sam Allardyce, instead of boxing to his strengths he simply tried to stop Calzaghe doing what he did best, I thought it was very very close fight and in some respects a draw might have been the best result.

Actually fancied the draw when I looked at the odds before the fight. You couldn't even get 1/2 for Calzaghe and the odds for Hopkins were (obviously) short too. The draw was about 25/1 and although I didn't have a bet that what I would have backed. I'd have been foaming if I had backed the draw because, like you say, it was probably about the right result.
