I'm lost as to what point you're actually making now. I'm sure you're right though.

Fop's taken wummery up a notch into meta-arguments. It doesn't matter what happened because something else could have happened, which renders a fact based reading of the situation worthless.

It has happened, and will happen again. You've got to pay some attention though, so it's no surprise it has passed you by completely. :icon_lol:

I've seen many instances of people getting praised when their tactics work and blasted when they fail cheers.....that is what you're complaining about, right?

Not as such no. Pay attention. :icon_lol:

Although it doesn't really matter as I could be arguing white is white and all the usual suspects would be lining up to argue that white was black (and probably calling me racist to boot as well). :icon_lol:

I thought you were as good as arguing white was black. Unless you agree Keane got his tactics wrong yesterday?

Whatever tactics Keane employed would be "wrong" with that result.

That's a fact. The :P weren't required.

Fop man stop boring the shit out of people - you're killing the threads... :icon_lol:

Oh aye I make 1 comment people line up to "argue" with me and I'm killing them?

That's a fact. The  weren't required.

But rather misses my point.

That we haven't had a bad rap this season.

I thought your point was the opposite, we've been terrible defensively all year, but a few clean sheets against weaker opposition (Portsmouth aside) and you want every pundit to be praising our class at the back.

Again absolutely nothing to do with what I've said. :icon_lol::icon_lol:

We've been terrible for most of the season full stop (in every sense).

But that's got little to do with our "established" reputation, or indeed the reason for your "argument". :P

It doesn't matter what you say. My blinkered reliance on the received wisdom tells me that you're an argumentative WUM. 3 years of insightful comments won't change that I'm afraid.

So basically you ADMIT you're just arguing for the sake of it......... what do you know I was right. :icon_lol:

Not long back form Newcastle, first chance i've had to comment on the game. :P

Was up on level 7 of the milburn stand, atmosphere was great, pity all the games couldnt be like this. Disappointed with the SMB fans, almost as shite as their team, Andy Reid looked like some fat bloke pulled out of a bar to make up the numbers. Got a bit sick of the Keano fornicating with his dog song, funny but had to listen to two mates singing it all weekend after the game.

Thought Toon display was average enough, back 4 done ok but really only had Jones to worry about. Too many misplaced passes and crosses, cant for the life of me understand why Geremi gets 90min, apart from the one good cross for the goal he was aweful, only matched by Viduka.

Some of the mates ran into Niall Quinn at the airport. think he left there even less happy than after the game, he got dogs abuse!!

I was loving every minute of it like, quite embarrassed the club printed Blaydon Races in the program like, but i suppose really young fans might learn it quicker that way.

Did they print the right words? There's a few older fans could use some education, never mind the young 'uns...

Didn't see the programme but I enjoyed the singer - idiots near me still got the words wrong and its been a big bug bear of mine for years - how hard can it be to learn the concept of a verse followed by a chorus?

It seems people like to argue for fun sometimes.

Really, I have no idea who you could mean.

Plenty to choose from here (so long as they have their "villain" anyway :P).

We've beat the Mackems - can't we all just get along?

After the game on Saturday when we got back to Shields we went in The Stags Head (quiet old man pub) for a quiet pint or 2. As soon as we were through the door, the mackems were kicking off.......with each other. It was a thing of beauty to see two pissed up red and white pensioners throw the shittest punches with a 1 in 10 success rate. We were pissing ourselves at them.
