Dead Dog

Got up this morning to find my dog dead. Hasn't been to well over the weekend so we decided we were going to take him to the vets this morning but it seems we were too late.

He didn't seem to be in any pain and he was thirteen so I suppose it's the best way to go, in your sleep.

I love dogs. Much nicer than people. RIP.

Aye agree Alex. The bairns just woke up so she's devastated, had him since he was eight weeks old so he'll be a big miss around the house, no more dogs for me though.

The main problem with them is that you get so attached and they don't really live that long, relatively speaking.

Aye it's the way I'd want to go.

Bit of a shock getting up this morning to find him, was stiff as a board, looked mental carrying him to boot of the car, a blanket with 4 stiff legs sticking out, felt like a murderer disposing of a corpse :D

:D

Probably doesn't seem like it, but it is a much better way (for the dog and everyone else) for it to happen than maybe having to consider other options later on.

Far too tying (holidays etc) and now with the two kids I haven't got enough time to dedicate to looking after one properly, wouldn't be fair.

I'd have thought in a while the kids would be onto you for a new dog. Good luck sticking to your guns.

bad news wacky.

I was spared that when my 9 year old dog started behaving oddly and took him to the vet.

Said that he was riddled with cancer, and it was only a matter of time until we would have got up one morning and found what you've just done

Needless to say, we told him to let him go
