Aye. I've grown fonder of series 7 as time goes by, for all it's not "classic" Dwarf, but the dance-off between Cat and the fucking spaceship in series 8 was enough to stop me watching altogether. :D

Oh aye, 'cringeworthy' is all you can say. Just like his short lived pop career with 'Tongue Tied'.

On a positive note, I still piss myself at the scene when Lister has the shrinking kegs on and Kryton tries to take them off..

Spot on, series 7 had its moments but series 8 is awful.

i think it's downward spiral coincided with one of the writers leaving. it's a bit of a geeky show but i loved series 2-6 and the books are well worth a read.

Yup the series and in fact the books were never really the same once they had their big argument. Not even sure the wrote the later series together at all?

Slowly realising all the class sci-fi I love.

Right, just the comedies then. :nufc:

Galaxy Quest?

What shit ones were you thinking of?

Basically Red Dwarf. :D

Hitchhikers guide is wank too. And that one that was on BBC2 with Shaun of the Dead's mate.

Never seen Galaxy Quest, but my theory is just as blown away by the hilarious Spaceballs.

Hitchhikers was a little too clever for me but not bad - on the whole I loved Red Dwarf.

I think the one you mean was Hyperspace - agree it was shit.

Galaxy Quest is much funnier than Spaceballs. Sam Rockwell is class.

Red Dwarf started going down hill after it peak with the third series but still had some real quality moments (particularly Back To Reality in the fifth series) up to the end of series 5. After that it started to plumit with the last two being a fucking travisty.

The books are excellent espcially Infinity which I think read in a day (which is probably the only time I've done that with a book that doesn't have pop ups).

Never seen Galaxy Quest. Spaceballs is mint though. Don't really like Red Dwarf to be honest. I used to watch it and liked it when it first came on.

It changed quite a bit as it went on anyway, the first 2 series there were no aliens whatsoever...the joke being that Rimmer wanted to meet some but they didn't actually exist. After that..aliens galore! :D

Aye red dwarf was class. got all the dvds.

seemed that the more money they spent on it (for better production) the crapper it got, with the odd exception.

I think Red Dwarf went downhill after series 3, I loved it up until then, and as for Hyperdrive, that was woeful.
