I heard Tony Hart couldn't take the devolution of childrens arts and crafts programs... took the law into his own hands.

Police aren't prepared to comment on rumours of an incoherent brown plasticine man seen in the area

Nah I checked, craig was on here at the time

Ah, but where was Gol?

He seems to have had friends and family that care for him. I'm sure that wasn't what he was missing. Probably more to do with the recent death of someone close you seem to think he should have shrugged off as her own fault.

Nope, I think he should have accepted it was at least partially his fault (it was), he probably in fact did, hence his actions.

Like I said his best chance of surviving it was coming to terms with that, and getting the sort of support he actually needed, not the sort clueless fuckwits think he would need.

Misunderstood (or as I suspect, chose to misunderstood) pretty much every single point along with the again baseless insults. Sigh.

Your usual and expected attempt at a retreat to the "moral" high ground might actually work better if it was not YOU that started the "baseless insults". :D

Although mine aren't baseless, as we've determined you were too thick for any reasonable academic challenge, and that's not really an insult, it's just how it is and how you are, live with it. :nufc:

Very sad few months for anyone known to those two... My heart goes out to them all.

As for some comments on here made by a particular - what else needs to be said than, given previous form, such a bigotted view has to be expected. No-one is trying to apportion blame, they know where the blame lies but this bloke was obviously wracked with such a combination of heartbreak and guilt that he couldn't possibly go on...

It was well known he was in a fragile state of mind (her mother had even said so prior to his disappearance) and Luke is right, he's been 'failed' by the lack of professional support and counselling.

If certain people believe that that was undeserved on account of the fact they'd take an illegal substance then they are narrow-minded and most likely a raving hypocrite. Evidently no comprehension of what love means either...

Oh shush, if the pair of them had got drunk into a car (instead of a scalding bath) and driven off a cliff would there be all of this faux-bleeding hearts?

Like I said sad, but entirely of their own making. Now do you disagree with that? (and as I said the sort of limp wristed do gooder pandering people think should occur here is about the last thing that could have saved the fella).

The amusing part is there's no sympathy for the woman shot by her husband in that other thread. Hypocrites? Yup this place is FULL of them, but I'm not one of them. :D

The drugs are a factor in my lowered sympathy for the lass - on the other hand if people's idea of dealing with death was anywhere near the bloke's level then there would be "Bridgends" galore everyday - how do thousands cope all the time without this wonderful professional support?

It is sad if he could have been helped and wasn't but overall I stand by my view.

That's the wonderful thing about being human - people cope with different things in different ways and we're not all identikit morons.

Now I can't possibly imagine what it's like to find someone you love being boiled alive in a bath and then being arrested on suspicion of having something to do with it but i'm willing to hazard a guess that all level headness and logic goes out of the window.

But then maybe my opinion on the whole situation is sullied by the fact he was never off kids TV when I was younger so I probably give more of a toss about it than some people on here.

It's just so fucking sad really. Two successful people with everything to live for and now they're both brown bread. All over a bit of fun which went wrong.

Yup, you could almost say there might be a lesson in there somewhere, but of course there couldn't be.

Point taken on people are different.

I also have to be honest and say I still haven't got a clue who he was.

Who has disagreed with that? Answer is no-one... All people are trying to do is show some compassion. We all (yes Fop, even you!) do things from time to time that are stupid and ill-thought but we all do them in the knowledge that 'nothing will happen to us'. Still no less tragic when something does go wrong is it? Who knows how many times the pair of them had done that and all had been OK.

People walk out in front of traffic without looking and and are killed every day - but i suppose they're not due any sympathy from the likes of you because they didn't look? :nufc:

You can get away with all sorts of things all number of times, it still doesn't mean you aren't rolling the dice though, or that the dice won't come up in a way you didn't want/expect some time, or that it's any less your own fault just because you "got away with it" some number of times.

They are killed by the own actions and as such brought it on themselves (as sad as it maybe), but if that's what you think how come your not hand-wringing in this thread then?

http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?showtopic=19050

There's someone that was killed by someone else's stupidity and not their own (well not directly anyway).

Where's this much mooted "sympathy" for her (or indeed him)?

Found hanging from the roof apparently. Sad, but as always he made it look good.

Was he bleeding? Did anyone check the ground under him for a peice of paper?

Just sounds like he's got a new series to me.

How could you make a (terrible) joke over such a heart rending and tragic occurrence? Think of the children, think of the family, think of the commuters.

There's been no 'mooted sympathy' for the woman, simply the few responses submitted to the thread have focused on the stupidity of the bloke rather than the result of his actions...

As someone who rolled the dice in their youth and very nearly paid the ultimate price, I think I'm well positioned to know that 'getting away with it' makes it any less your fault. But it also leaves me well positioned to comment that it fucks you up big time and that is without the death of the person you love on your conscience.

I dread to think what went through his mind but he needed help and lots of it.

Which is exactly my point.

If what was being said in this thread was actually in anyway true, there would have been, which goes right back to your point about hypocrisy, only not in the way you meant.

Yup, probably made worse by the fact that he (rightly) did blame himself, but that is life. And as I've said repeatedly people saying "it's not your fault" to him in such a situation almost certainly made him feel even more isolated and guilty, just because people are fucked up doesn't suddenly make them stupid or willing to buy any bit of tripe fed them, usually they are less likely too in fact and it may well just make them withdraw further.

A sad situation, but you should always be aware of the potential consequences of your actions, or at least accept them even if you weren't. I've seen similar things in climbers and motorcyclists that get themselves hurt (or in a couple of occasions killed) and seen reactions that deny the reality of the situation and ask "but how could it happen?", that is that it is dangerous and you may well be maimed or killed (even in those cases if you take all the precautions possible).

I'm sure they never thought something like that would happen (even though there's probably 3 separate ways she could have easily died in that situation), but that's got little to do with anything actually happening.

Yup, you're clearly a hypocritical sanctimonious cuntflap, with no sense of humour. :D

Aye, room for improvement like.

Not for you though, you've perfected the sanctimonious cuntflap act.
