Bit of a nothing game, but at least we've had a go. Certainly a better showing than our last effort against them. A points a point, better than dropping 3.

Good away performance as has been said - could and perhaps should have won it.

What this and the Villa game tell me is that the "gap" to the initial level we want to be at (challenging for sixth) is eminently doable. It also shows why Allardyce (and Roeder for that matter) should be shot for failing so miserably in that and more for telling us we have to wait years for it to happen.

At the turn of the year I thought we'd need a summer of mass outs and ins - now I'm tending towards Kev's "4 or 5 quality players" view.

Five Live slating Enrique atm

Not sure why?

Cos he was playing poorly?

Thought he a decent game and is coming on leaps!

Mixed IMO. Had some great runs forward (final ball let him down) but made some defensive mistakes.

Nothing that resulted in any serious problems/goals but he needs to be aware.

not bad.

All in all though; a point away from home against a team not only higher than us in the league but on a bit of a high atm is good imo.

I'd have loved all 3 obviously, but 1 away is not bad. As someone else has said, Owen could have scored but Defoe should have.

I'm disappointed to be honest, I thought we were the better side and could have won it.

We should have punished them from the corners we had, too many bad deliveries from Geremi and on occasions when he did get the ball into a decent area there was no one attacking it.

It's been a while since I've seen so many errant passes and so many long balls to neebody.

A fair result but I feel it was there to be won, thanks to FeFoe for being off-target.

If Taylor's scissor-kick had gone it it might have been the goal of the century.

So many corners with no results, can't someone other than Geremi take them?

Enrique did some good stuff and some woeful stuff.

Beye did very well but was nowhere near as good as he has been lately.

Unfair on Roeder I think. Owen could only play 3 games when we finished 14th and he had Ameobi, not Viduka. Defence were far better that season too.

Shows how much better things are for us at the minute that there is a bit of a feeling of disapointment when we've picked up a draw away to the team that will probably finish sixth.

Would have loved to have seen us win but I'm more than happy with the draw and a clean sheet away from home.

With the unwashed losing we should have the confidence to go on and twat them next week.

Very respectable result. Unbeaten for 5 games, 11 points won. Spurs and Pompey away gaining 4 points. Fucking loads better. :D:razz::nufc:

Kev is doing the grinding out points better than BS managed as well as playing with flair when we can afford to.
