The Daily Star's chief football writer Danny Fullbrook believes Liverpool's Fernando Torres should be the footballer of the year, not Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo.

:D

He's got to be a bindipper, Ronaldo has been on another planet this season.

Exactly.

Torres has scored the odd outstanding goal but for me the majority have been tap ins due to someone else's work or good link up play.

Ronaldo has been fucking amazing and to add to that he's had some pretty decent luck.

Probably as far off the mark as one could be. Well done. :nufc:

I dunno, I despise Ronaldo, but it's hard to see how anyone else would come close this season.

They play in different positions so comparing them is nonsense. Ronaldo has been player of the year no doubt but I never mentioned him. I highlighted the part about Torres which is utter bollix.

Ok.

It's Torres' job to score goals.

Ronaldo has scored more. :D

If Ronaldo was an out and out striker, he'd still have had a far stronger season.
