Besty 4
Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan and managing director Karren Brady have been arrested and questioned by police. City of London Police investigating alleged corruption in English football said they arrested a man, 59, and a woman 39, on Wednesday. The pair were questioned in connection with allegations of false accounting and conspiracy to defraud. A club statement said it was "fully committed to helping police with their inquiries". Both were bailed. The statement said: "David Sullivan and Karren Brady on behalf of Birmingham City Football Club were invited to co-operate with a City of London Police investigation and have happily done so. "By longstanding appointment, they have willingly attended interviews today." Last month police raided Birmingham City FC in an "ongoing investigation into football corruption". Seven other people are currently on bail as part of the investigation by City of London Police. Among those previously arrested during the investigation are Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp, the club's chief executive Peter Storrie and former chairman Milan Mandaric. Former Portsmouth midfielder Amdy Faye, a Senegalese international, has also been questioned by police.

Happy Face 29
The co-owner of Birmingham City Football Club has "categorically denied" sexually assaulting a 25-year-old woman in Essex. A statement released by the club said David Sullivan, 59, of Essex, voluntarily attended a police station on Tuesday following the allegation. An Essex Police spokesman said a woman from East London contacted them saying she was attacked in Theydon Bois. He said a 59-year-old man was arrested and later released on bail. A statement released by Birmingham City said: "David Sullivan confirms that he voluntarily attended a police station yesterday following an allegation made against him and gave a 30-minute interview in which he provided the police with a full explanation of the circumstances. "He categorically denies the allegation which centres around consensual sexual touching. The allegation is totally without foundation. "Despite a report to the contrary, there was no DNA taken, no search of his home and no clothing removed. "Neither David Sullivan nor anyone on his behalf will be making any further comment in respect of the matter." An Essex Police spokesman said: "Police were contacted by a 25-year-old woman from East London at 0100 BST on Tuesday who said she was assaulted at a house in a village. "Detectives arrested a 59-year-old man from the Epping Forest area in relation to sexual touching and released him on police bail." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england...nds/7485171.stm The dirty rotter. Scottish Mag 3
Karren Brady was re-arrested by police on Tuesday as part of the investigation into alleged corruption in English football. The Birmingham City managing director was questioned by officers from City of London Police before being released on bail. Brady was arrested in connection with the case for the first time in April, along with Blues co-owner David Sullivan. The pair were questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting. In November 2007, officers arrested a series of high-profile figures in the national game in a controversial series of raids. A City of London Police spokeswoman said: "A 39-year-old woman was today arrested on suspicion of a further offence as part of the ongoing football investigation." She said it was not possible to provide details of the offence, adding: "We have been working with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) from the outset of the investigation. "The investigation has always focused on money laundering. "The Fraud Prosecution Service has identified that tax offences may be involved." Kitman 2207
Did anything ever happen with the investigation into the toon/Freddy Shepherd? Still think criminal charges were in order over the Boumsong transfer, for the misrepresentation of him as an international footballer if nothing else.
