Shite movies you quite enjoyed

Been thinking about this for a long time a top 100 turkeys you watched and thought were fairly enjoyable. Now I fully understand this could lead to complete ridicule but here goes.

Hudson Hawk. A stupider movie you can't possibly hope to find and some of the acting is beyond belief but it all adds to a film I quite enjoyed.

National Treasure. The premise that the Masons are hiding stuff from the British royal family is quite a leap of faith and again Nicholas Cage is either mind bendingly good (Leaving Las Vegas, Birdy) or complete and utter shite (Captain Corelli's Mandolin, I ama ana Itlaiana) but in this he plays the character quite straight with the fast pace of the "plot" thats all you need.

Now up to you lot 2 each at least I may come back with more.

CB4 and Friday are two that spring to mind. Not exactly what I'd call shit as I like them both but they aren't exactly Oscar material.

Mannequin. Really fancied Kim Catrell back then and I used to watch The Golden Girls with my mam so having Estelle Getty in also helped but I've always loved this. James Spader is fantastic a pantomime villan and bloke off Police Academy is does is usual act. Great fun.

Carry On Screaming. Another one from my childhood (I used to love all of the carry on films) and despite not featuring the genius that was Sid James I always thought this was the best actuall film of them all.

I enjoyed Hudson Hawk too.

Both class films. I'd forgot about CB4 actually.

On a similar not, Airheads with Adam Sandler, Steve Buscemi and Brendon Frazer is brilliant.

Mallrats. Inherently awful, but I still have a lot of time for it.

Much poorer than Smith's other films (seemed like he was forced to try and make a Hollywood version of Clerks) but it still has some incredibly funny bits and Brodie ranks right up there with Randal and Jay as his funniest characters.

It's tough calling them shite, because they are greats to me. Films I grew up with or enjoyed from a certain time, perspective... but when you look around the net you see how some people would consider them crap.

Twins

Last Action Hero

Encino Man (fantastic movie :icon_lol:)

Scary Movie 2 (that one very specifically, all others are terrible)

All enjoyable films. I'm proud to say I've avoided all of the Scary Movies, it seems so redundant to make a parody of a parody.

Twin Warriors

Nothing much that distinguishes it from other early Jet Li movies, but it's so brilliantly cheesey and over-the-top that I love it. :icon_lol:

Jackass 1 & 2

Not really movies at all, but I'm a big fan of Jackass and loved both. Disgusting though.

Saw II.

Nuff said.

Sream is an excellent film, one of the funniest I've seen come out in years and it also had some craking jumps.

Bloodsport and No Retreat No Surrender

Not sure my varying interpretations of the question will be acceptable....

Charlies Angels is cracking fun

Bringing Out The Dead is harshly judged in the Scorsese back catalogue.

I really enjoyed Shawshank and Leon...but they get shiter and shiter.

Hostel gets the shite ripped out of it on here, as does the Descent, I loved them both.

Planet Terror is seen as the inferior partner to Death Proof, but it should have been Rodriguez's film in Cannes and that.

Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers are excellent comedies if you ask me.

Pleasantville doesn't get the praise it deserves.

The Story of Ricky is poorly acted with terrible effects and is hilarious.

Missed the blatant subtext probably.

Both condescending and pretentious at once. I expect better of you Alex.
