Tooj 17
After my comment about Henry in the other thread, I was inspired to make this thread as a matter of fact. In my lifetime, I will have to go for this man.

Norbert Colon 0
Can't decide between Igor Belanov, Hristo Stoichkov and Gheorgie Hadgi - awesome in their own ways and also were fantastic at an international level

Norbert Colon 0
Van Basten wouldn't be far off no. 1 either. Or Gullitt or Rickard - what a set of players the dutch had then - pity they couldn't make a team out of them all (they reckon that boy Cruyff was handy an all)

Still a very good side who could have won the World Cup though. They never qualified for a World Cup in the 80s iirc.
Guest Stevie
Zidane, Matthaus and Gullit are head and shoulders above the rest of the European players I've seen in my life time. In my opinion they are the best players that have played for their countries, better than Platini who was a genious himself, and better than Cruyff who clearly was sensational. Matthaus and Gullit could play everywhere, and look world class where ever they were, they never ever, ever lost the ball, the ball was like their wife, except they didn't divorce it. Zidane, well I don't think there's ever been a more graceful player ever, not saying he was better than Maradona, but when he played it was like he was dancing with the style he had. Zidane I'd go for.

There's a load of players like that for me in Europe over the last 25 years. Stoichkov is another one, Futre, Luis Enrique, Detari, Scifo etc....
