A bit like when they arrest some one for carrying a taser there are "taking a potentially lethal weapon off the street", yet when they USE one they are "using a completely non-lethal system to remove any chance of violence". Of course the number of people killed by tasers remains the same, and number killed due to police usage of them still remains by far the highest (in the UK anyway).
