curry stained pilchard 0
Skysports Newcastle defender Steven Taylor insists Kevin Keegan is the right man to lead the club. Keegan has already found himself under increasing pressure after failing to record a win since his shock return to Tyneside in January. Newcastle have found themselves dragged into a relegation battle after a disastrous run of form and they face a crucial game with fellow strugglers Birmingham on Monday night Reports have suggested Newcastle are consideirng a move for Racing Santander coach Marcelino if things do not improve, but Taylor has backed Keegan to turn things round in time. Aura "He's just got that aura about him," Taylor told The Times. "He's just a massive icon, simple as that. He cheers everyone up. He cracks jokes, mingles with everybody. He brings that bit of confidence. "Results haven't helped, but if you've had a bad day or are feeling low, he puts an arm around you. He gets you up for it. He has that special something when he walks in the room. He's got so much respect from everybody. "There could have been no better appointment. I think Alan Shearer was probably the only one who could compete. The fans are still singing Keegan's name and I think it was what they wanted. "We're in a bad position at the moment. But we're confident we can get out of that and the players are 100 per cent behind Mr Keegan. One win and you'll see a massive change." Patient Taylor is confident if they can secure survival this season they can improve under Keegan next season. "The thing everyone keeps going on about is time," added Taylor. "The gaffer has said that as well. It might take a couple of years to get things sorted, but it will be worth it in the end. You've got to be patient. "We're going through that struggle now, but once we come through it we'll take off. Next season we will kick on."

Start performing on the pitch and stop talking shite in the Chronicle or wherever, you fucking ringpiece. Bearing in mind all this is intermingled with 'noises' about wanting to leave if he doesn't get immediate attention from the club management regarding contracts and such. Happy Face 29
Can this kid not just shut the fuck up.... Fans can give us a boost - Taylor Newcastle defender Steven Taylor has backed the supporters to create an atmosphere at St James' Park ahead of Saturday's visit of Fulham. Monday's draw at Birmingham was helped by a vocal travelling support and Taylor believes the fans can be a big part of their bid to avoid relegation. He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "We have to make St James' Park intimidating. "The main thing for us is how our fans are on the day. I don't think we have ever needed them more than we do now." As a regular in the stands at St James' Park as a boy, Taylor is fully aware what the club means to the area and has urged fans to continue to back the team. "At Birmingham the big part was the fans. It shows how much passion there is here, they never stopped singing," he added. "Even when we're getting beaten, we need them behind us." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ted/7304490.stm Tosser.

Its probably part of their contract to be honest. Way OTT reaction imo.

Guest Stevie
I've met Taylor twice, he's a really good down to earth lad, or certainly seems it. However he really needs to pipe down a bit concentrating on playing well, then pipe up. The reason people are so fascinated by Eric Cantona is not only because he was a brilliant footballer, but because he said so little there's a lot of mystique there, other people can talk too much.
