I'm thinking of getting a weekend job to supplement my earnings but I was wondering whether it was worth it. I heard you get taxed quite heavily if you have a second job, is this likely to negate most of the money I could make two days a week?

your tax free allowance will come off your fist job so it will appear you are being taxed more heavily on your second job but in fact it's consistent with getting the extra pay from one source. Hope this makes sense!
