tribal football  has this one .....

Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is ready to join the battle for Werder Bremen midfielder Diego.

Keegan has promised fans big-name signings in the summer and watched Brazil ace Diego in action last week at Rangers.

Diego is emerging as one of the hottest transfer properties on the continent and Toon can expect competition from Juventus and Valencia to land the midfield schemer.

not sure where they got it from , but thoughts of a midfield general like diego in a toon shirt is enough to make a grown man skip to work .

I think we could attract the likes of Diego, if we were in the top 7 or 8, but he's going to look at it now, and think this team who are interested in me, have gained 11 points out of a potential 60, why would I join them when Valencia want me, other than being a mercenary cunt.

Even if we stay up, this relegation battle we're in will have a lot of short and medium term ramfications for the reputation of the club.

I think the summer/winter windows of the past couple of years show that it's not just the current threat of relegation that has left us unattractive to top players.

Well in terms of attractiveness at the start of this summer you would say we were behind The Big Three plus Liverpool and Spurs, I think you could move us down three or four more spots now.

Yep! ....and that's just the English clubs.... :D

I really hope Ashley's going to go mental this summer and overpay 5 or 6 TOP players to come here and get the ball rolling.

If he doesn't, I reckon he's more interested in getting us to mid table stability and then will sell us.

we would need to pay more wages , simple as that really , there are only so many teams that could compete with us in that respect .

also its not like were going tobe buying just the one player , if its known that we are intent on bringing in several players of this calibure , we have more chance of bringing in the big names .

also agents .... , they will smell the money a mile off !! ashley and co have alot of contacts with all the high roller agents who wouldnt dream of ignoring the vasts amounts of cash that 'could' be on the table to spend .

'Tribal Football'. End of.

They just round up other media stories.

They seem to make up a lot of their own shite as well from what I can remember.

I think they just round up stuff mainly from the tabloids which is why their reputation for accuracy is so bad, i.e. blame the tabloids. It's still probably bullshit about Diego anyway.

I think if you just pick 15 words at random the chances of that having being a sports tabloid story at some time are usually pretty good.
