Would we have been in this shit state under Allardyce?

A win against Birmingham on Monday will send us up the table and banish all of this relegation talk . All we can do now is hope and pray. I have implicit faith in KK's ability to impress just how big this game is on the players and we are strong enough still to get this result. If Birmingham want this, and they do, we have to want it more and here's where KK's motivational ability will shine.

a win on monday will increase optimism and nothing more than that.

Follow it with a defeat next saturday and we will still be in deep shite.

Maybe you should take your blinkers off, long range they may be

its crazy to think we still have the likes of pompy and west ham away that are being wrote off :puke: sad state of affairs .

a result in one of those and the games we expect to win and we'd be wondering what all the fuss was about .

i see bolton joining derby and fulham to go down , sunderland wigan and birmingham real close to them .

Agree with everything Leazes said, I'm tired of fucking saying it now but what did people expect results against Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Villa to be like? We could have done better against Bolton, Boro and Blackburn but were unfortunate not to win the latter two. He's got us playing decent football and if he'd had the games the fat man had we'd be in a damned better position. We'd have taken more than a point of fucking Derby from two games for one.

A win on Monday will see us three points closer to safety and at this stage of the season that's all I'm worried about, I fully expect that to be followed by 3 points againt Fulham.

If that doesn't happen then yes, we're in the shit.

I agree with the first paragraph. For whatever reason, which if it was that Allardyce wasnt' his man, then so be it, we will find out soon. Should have backed Keegan in jan though, I simply don't believe Keegan didn't look at the team and immediately realise we needed 2 forwards/strikers [as well as the failed bid to pinch Woodgate from Spurs].

I think the one thing we all can be certain on is that KK had backing, you me and the gatepost know that KK wouldnt have agreed to come without some serious guarantees of cash.

The reason he didnt buy is, he didnt know who to buy (or for that matter who to sell). He'd been out of football for 3 years, by his own admission he hadnt even bothered watching it. Players big three years ago are nobodies now.

Given our current predicament, and I always think you can win any one game, I would take a draw tomorrow and a win next Saturday.

However, we would be better off winning tomorrow and drawing next Saturday, if we were to take 4 points from the next 2 games.

If we do something like take only 1 point then we are really, really in deep shite.

Obvious he was told he had backing. Will they come up with the goods though. Clubs have a lot more money. Its no good Ashley and Mort allowing Keegan to spend 20-25m quid when clubs smaller than us ie the likes of Blackburn doing the same, nor is it any good our close rivals ie Villa, Spurs [assuming we stay up and set our target out to catch these teams at least] spending more or even the same.

We have to capitalise on our fanbase, which is bigger than those clubs, otherwise we may as well just go home.

I think we can all speculate but its fairly good bet that Ashley will give over the cash, like he says, he bought the club to win something and every fan knows you cant do that without spending hard cash. Personally, Im happy to believe that side of things wont be a problem. Even if he lied on that and bought us as an investment, hes going to get fuck all back for his outlay now without getting us up/ back into the Prem.
