sweetleftpeg 0
Let's say someone in your office deleted a user account from a computer and it looks like all the folders and files...is there anyway we can get them back? Or are they in cyber heaven? Should I be sharpening a huge stick and organising their funeral?
nufc4ever 0
There are tools available that let you recover deleted data on hard drives. Until new data is written over the old, it just sits there labelled as free space, and can therefore be brought back.

peasepud 59
Stupid question but have you looked in the Recycle Bin? or are you saying that its an entire login account for Windows?
MrBass 2715
Restorer2000 (clicky) is pretty good but it's not freeware. You could always Google 'file recovery software' and see if there's any freebees available. You'd ideally want one that's a self contained executable - i.e. no install required. Whatever you download though, if it's an install file, make sure you install it on a different drive (not the drive that you want to recover from) if possible.
