Anth 113
Alright, Lurked on here for a few years but thought I'd log in for a change for a spot of advice.. I put my first ever bet on today, tenner on spurs to Win (litterally wrote "Spurs to win" on the ticket). Do football bets only take into account the first 90 minutes or the full time plus extra time? Sorry about the post if this is blatently obvious Cheers
Tooj 17
Only the first 90 minutes. Unless you have specified Spurs just to win the match overall.
Anth 113
bugger, I just had "spurs to win"
DanTheMan 0
Hahahah, was down the pub today and some bloke was insisting that it's over the whole match, he had a go at me about it. 'What the fuck do you know about betting anyway?' He thought he'd won £100 as well!
MattM4 0
That's a bit harsh though. If it was before penalties at least maybe. But should be who wins overall surely. So bookies must be licking their chops as soon as a cup final goes to extra time!
Anth 113
In theory the fact I had "spurs to win" and the fact they won should mean technically I am right imho, I suppose you learn the hard way
RlCO 0
Classic pub argument. It's always 90 minutes, you have to be thick to think otherwise.
Anth 113
I wouldn't say im thick, just never ever placed a bet before, was just a halmless bit of fun though, wasnt like my house was riding on the result

Guest Stevie
If you had "Spurs to win the League Cup" you'd be quids in, sadly you're fucked. Go up and plead ignorance, you never know your luck.
Guest alex
In theory the fact I had "spurs to win" and the fact they won should mean technically I am right imho, I suppose you learn the hard way You can bet on Spurs to win at any stage, i.e. 90 mins, ET or pens but the odds are less because you are removing one of the possibilities, i.e. the draw. Normal bets are 90 mins, with the odd being better because of the 3 possible results.
