Geordie Boyo 24
Every time I go into my Outlook Express there are a number of messages I simply can't retrieve. As a result I keep getting the same messages sent to me every time I go into Outlook along with the same messages that I can't receive. I am getting new messages along with the repeated ones so my outlook express keeps building up with email, simply because of these bastard emails I can't get. I've run a scan on AVG & Spybot, but seem to get the same problem while going into Outlook. I get a big list of error messages like the one below... Message number 7 could not be retrieved. Account: 'pop3.service provider', Server: 'pop3.service provider', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: ' =20', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD Can anybody help me with this as I've ran out of ideas. Cheers.
JawD 99
Who is your ISP? If they also give you an online mail box you could go there, see whats holding them up and/or maybe delete them. Sounds like your isp though not outlook.

Geordie Boyo 24
Not sure, but I deleted my emails through my online mailbox as you suggested and now I don't have any more problems when I open OE. Maybe it was a virus AVG was having trouble retaining, but it's never happened before.
JawD 99
Ah, maybe one of two things, you had a HUGE email trying to get downloaded and it was clogging things up, or your mailbox online was full.
