Could start off at Central Station take in Grainger Town, the Cathedral & Castle / Black Gate (shame the High Level Bridge is closed); walk down Amen Corner (iirc) to Quayside / Gateshead Quays. You'd have to include Grey St. too somewhere.

There's a context, of course - I'm bringing the better half with me when I come up for an overnighter next month, so I want to show the place off and make sure I haven't missed anything obvious - but I was interested in what people would come up with generally too.

Might just take Wacky's advice, I wonder what the reaction would be to our presence.

Expanding the question, actually (not that it'll apply to us this time round) - it's a nice sunny day and you've got a car with a full tank of petrol at your disposal. Where in the region do you go for the day?

There's a couple of Pork Knuckles get in anyway, they just haven't came out the closet yet. As long as you weren't after mincing anyone up you'd be fine :icon_lol:

If your plan is to set the car alight I'm sure Wacky could help you out with that one!

With the car then Bamburgh, Seahouses and Alnwick would be my choice, especially if your significant other is from Lahndahn as he wont have seen countryside or the beach (in fact if hes a proper cockerney then hes probably not seen much water tbh.....scruffy twats © Stevie 2007)

What he said..basically head north via the coastal route (maybe miss out Blyth though eh?) and stop off at Alnwick gardens. I can highly recommend Warkworth as a nice place to stop for lunch.

See you failed to add my other comment B):D
