Belfast's a nice place though, so it is. I was brought up in Burradon, mainly. Never lived in Shields, hardly ever been to the place. Belfast's sound, aye. Not too dissimilar to the Toon is a lot of ways. I'm only here through the week though.

The flight back home from Belfast is mint, you can see the lakes right down to Windemere, and even further in the distance, you can see the shape of the NW. Is Burradon classed as Newcastle? It's nearly in Cramlington.

RlCO 0
Be fair, they have a mainline railway company, sort of, nearly, when it's working, and they can get the spares for the 20 year old trains cast off from the GREAT NORTH EASTERN Railway, based in Central Station. You can't beat that kind of modern connectivity.

LeazesMag 0
Good post from Stevie, make me smile. Bits of me agree with what he says, but I've never worked in sunderland. The mate I spoke of lives in Whickham, and I met him when we worked together in Newcastle years ago. I've met a few mackems over the years, working away, and they were always OK, wanting to put one over us, and obsessed, but I just laughed that off and felt sorry for them. In some ways, I prefer to have a pint with some of those blokes than a lot of cockneys, and manure fans, speaking generally anyway. There are exceptions to everything though. I tell you something about mackems right, a lot of them CAN BE ok, if its just you and them, as soon as there's a group of mackems together and you though, they change beyond belief, snidey twats. Jusoda Kid 1
To give you an idea of my hatred, I hate them more than i hate J69. Once met a decent one about ten years ago but he was a chinky so I'm not sure if he qualifies, supported sunderland though.

Howay 12496
I hate them especially around derby time, their shite when on about football because all they seem to be bothered about is beating us or finishing above us I doubt many of them would be disappointed if they finished 19th so long as we were 20th. I've met one or two that were canny but the vast majority are scum probably just the town they're from though because it is a total shit hole. I probably hate them a little less than Cockneys though. Norbert Colon 0
Lived in sunderland for five years and ended up quite liking the place - had some good mates there but man have they got serious chips on their shoulders - fuckin mental - there is an element of real small town to them which they will never shake off but i don't think per capita there are more chavs and skiprats than newcastle - don't think i will ever get over people walking round the town centre in their slippers though(!!) really strange
