Why didn't he resign after Allardyce went instead of taking snipes at the board?
RlCO 0
Nigel Pearson has left Newcastle United, according to Sky Sports News. The 44-year-old coach was brought to St James' by former Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder in October 2006. Pearson had two spells as caretaker manager with The Magpies - in May 2007 following Roeder's departure, and last month after Sam Allardyce's exit. But reports suggest that he has now made the decision to part company with The Magpies.
TheMoog 0
Huzzah! It's laughable that some areas of the press see that Pearson leaving has 'rattled Keegans regime' though
Snake 0
Huzzah! It's laughable that some areas of the press see that Pearson leaving has 'rattled Keegans regime' though Laughable but entirely predictable. Probably blame it on Wise

The Mighty Hog 518
Alan Green having a dig saying something along the lines of "He (Pearson) served the club with distinguish, being manager twice, and clearly had enough of what's going on". Offshore Toon 0
I'm sure we can find someone to take over the sterling job that he was doing. Someone like me. I know nothing but the basics on coaching, so I'm fairly confident that I can do as good as job as Pearson. Call me.
Waj 0
More disturbing than the fact that he's left is the fact that Terry Mac is the only full time senior coach.

Guest alex
Pearson knew he was a goner straight away. His comments about Allardyce's sacking proved that. Hope his pay-off was small.

Happy Face 29
I heard a good fact on Saturday. The longest serving championship manager is Aidy Boothroyd, who's only been at Watford a couple of years. It's worse than the PL for fucks sake. If you don't make the play-offs your sacked, if you go up you're sacked before christmas. Credit to Watford for sticking with the bloke.

Not meaning to be disrespectful to Watford but I reckon he could really flourish at a so called "bigger" club.

Alan Pardew had a little dig at this before their game on Sat.
