sammynb 3640
Watching the game today it appears Terry Mac is the one KK turns to to discuss things. Being superstitious if you look at our recent issues he is the one constant factor since the club's serious decline.
@yourservice 67
Also i think the spark has gone from KK's eyes when he's being interviewed, his speach is slurred and trying to big up the players when he knows they are shite, before the enthusiasm just flowed from the bloke, now it's not the same, when he talked about players in the past you knew he was right because most of them were good players and it was hard to pick a favourite amongst them. Happy Face 29
Maybe the problem was that the last few pig-headed managers wouldn't listen to McDermott enough and all Keegan's success last time stemmed from his wing man. Success he couldn't replicate anywhere else without him.

I get the same impression, however I reckon he is just being cautious as he knows the press have their knives drawn. Once the team start progressing, he will become more animated. TheMoog 0
I doubt very much Keegan would have enthused about his original crop of players the last time he managed us - with such a poor start last time round I suspect now is no different. We need players in, they won't be here til summer, until then Keegan has to make do and put a brave face on it. I can't believe 3 games in, 2 of which were against Arsenal without a full first team to pick from, people are having such doubts - it's nonsesne like that which makes me wonder if the press are right and this club's fans really are laughing stock for good reason. snakehips 0
Now that Keegan is back, I reckon Terry Mac is needed more than ever. He is someone that Keegan trusts implicitly - something that could be essential for Keegan over the coming months.

People who think we will go straight from shit to 1996 need their head examined. The reality was that the first few months of Keegan's first stint were anything but glorious. It wasn't until the start of the following season when things started happening. Give him time, folks, give him time.
