While an Israeli team would never get a "positive" reception in Egypt what you're implying isn't the case. Given the portrayal of Israeli's in Egyptian newspaper cartoons, I'd suspect it would be exactly the case. Racism isn't something exclusive to "the white man", some of the worst acts of modern (and historic) racism are between non-white cultures. p.s. I'm not sure our fans know Emre is Muslim I suspect they do, it's not exactly a secret (he mentioned it in newspaper interviews himself about 10 times in the first 6 months after he signed). As for "islamophobic" the dozy bitch just needs something to fill up her column inches (and pay cheque.) Is she a Mackem or a Smoggie? I can never tell. She's a sports journalist, so could be either.
