khay 10
Mohamed Sissoko has claimed he rejected overtures from Newcastle and Tottenham to join Juventus from Liverpool. The Mali international sealed his move to Juventus earlier this week after dropping down the pecking order at Anfield. Liverpool were willing to let Sissoko leave as they look to raise funds to complete the permanent transfer of Javier Mascherano. Sissoko says he could have stayed in England rather than move to Turin, claiming Newcastle and Spurs were interested in his services. However, it was Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri that won the race for the powerful midfielder's signature. "A lot of people were interested in me, notably Tottenham and Newcastle," Sissoko told The Mirror. From Skysports. Must have been when Big Sam was still in charge.
