Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
In the short-term, no. I'm hoping for an excitement roll-over in the summer.
Fop 1
Anyone feeling positive at all? What is there to expect really though? Thrashing a completely defensively set up Bolton 4-0. Then beating a fairly rampant Arsenal 4-5 twice with a patched up team. I dunno, there's positives to be taken from the games, but Keegan inherited a lot of negatives to address and it's going to take a lot longer than 2 weeks to do so. JawD 99
I am feeling positive aye. Despite everyone and anyone mocking the Wise move etc, despite the start under KK (did anyone expect anything different really?), I do think we have started to lay the right things down. I do think the wise thing is a gamble, but gambles can come off. Ashley & Mort are not football people and I think they needed football people as advisers around them, so with that in mind I think these few moves make sense. I Was slightly concerned with different reports suggesting Wise's place in the chain and KK insisting he reported to him. Came across like KK determined not to be undermined. I hope Im wrong there as that could end in tears if so. But overall, I think we are doing the right things. A few yougsters being picked up and its good that we have the vision now to try and make more of the academy. Good that KK didnt just write off Sams additional back room staff etc. Of course its going to be a learning curve for MA and CM, I just hope these advisers get it right. Oh, and I wish the papers would back the fuck off but thats not likely while they see us as an easy target. So, overall I'm disappointed with our position, but Ive already accepted that we will be mid table and am still looking forward to the boro game and then longer rebuilding in the summer. It think it was more him trying to stem the media speculation that he was being undermined........ which is insane, why would anyone go and get a manager then purposely undermine him within 2 weeks? Even FFS would struggle to manage that. Wise seems to be in a structure that perhaps wouldn't be directly under the manager as such, but certainly would run along side, support and take some directions from the manager. toontoasey 0
Not positive at all at the minute and with each passing minute until we get a player or 2 before the transfer window shuts i cant see it improving until next season, will we survive though thats the big question, i have my doubts!!! Chaser 1321
We desperately need to stop shipping goals and start scoring them as we're looking ever closer to relegation with hefty defeats like that. Watching it back, defensively we are as bad as I've ever seen. Cacapa just isnt adapting to the English game and should leave in the summer. TheMoog 0
I'm excited, anyone with half a brain couldn't expect miracles over-night. After what Kev did for us from start to finish (yes, including that slow start last time) I'm really looking forward to a long reign under Keegan. Apparently anyone other than Newcastle United supporters, the press for one, fans of other teams for another. It was a generalisation in case anyone was daft enough to think it.
