Big TRon 0
http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcast...-name_page.html “I like a lot of it. I think it’s the way forward,” Keegan said of Allardyce’s scientific approach and extensive coaching and scouting network. “What a manager wants is as much information as he can get about players. “At the end of the day, his judgement is in his eyes and in his experience in looking at players and how they are. “But it’s good to know where players are. It’s good to know how hard they’re working. It’s good to know all about them, if only just to back up what you’re thinking. “So I think a lot of what Sam has put in place here is excellent.” And that could mean a reprieve for many of Allardyce’s myriad minions. Keegan vowed: “I’ll have a look at them, see what they bring to the party and if I don’t think it’s worthwhile then I’ll do something about it. “It would be terribly unfair to come in and say: ‘Well, Sam fetched these guys in. They’re not my guys. “But at the moment, I’ve got to say I’m very impressed with the staff here. We’ve got everything we need and more than I’ve ever had at any other club. “To just dismiss it would be really stupid on my part.” Keegan added: “It’s a big club now – a much bigger club than the one I left. I'm pretty pleased about this as I thought Allardyce had some good ideas off the pitch. Good that Kev's open-minded enough to take it on board instead of going back into the comfort zone of doing what he knows and sticking to that. manc-mag 1
I still wish he'd fire Terry Mac out of a massive cannon into the Tyne.
Papa Lazaru 0
I'm also pleased about this. Whilst Big Sam didnt work out as i'd hoped with the first team i always said and still believe that he would make massive (and much needed) changes to this club from top to bottom. If Keegan can come in, use the best of what Big Sam brought here and add in his own skills and management of the first team it can hopefully be a good combination.
