grasshopper 0
thought the last film was miles better that owt they chucked oot over the previous 15 years. Maybe i'm the only one to appreciate the finer qualities of watching someone smash the shite out of a baddies face using a sink
catmag 337
I have still never seen a Bond film, and don't feel like I've missed out in the slightest.

The Fish 11098
Really enjoyed Casino Royale but fully understand why a lot of "Bond" fans didn't. The James Bond we've become accustomed to is the rather camp silly spy, one step up from XXX but not close to being as gritty and realistic* as the likes of Jason Bourne. If you like utterly retarded silliness then CR is not going to be your type of film. Now I enjoyed the Connery and Brosnan Bonds, but even they were a bit ridiculous (riding a motorbike off a cliff, catching a plummeting Cessna and being able to climb in, get set and pull it out of a nose dive.. all before hitting the floor or pesky outcrops). Casino Royale was obviously jumping on the more brutal fight scenes shown in Jason Bourne, it's trying a more grown up Bond and I for one enjoyed it. There's still silliness, there's still the girls and there's still good action.
Ketsbaia 0
The last Bond film was the best in a very, very long time, and I loved Golden Eye. The trailer hasn't got me as excited as the previous one did but if it's half as good as Casino Royale i'll be very happy. EDIR: And the name is gay as ferk. The only Bond novel i've read is Casino Royale and that was prior to the last film and really he's the only recent Bond you can imagine being anything near Ian Fleming's original. After Golden Eye it got a bit daft.

Have to agree with you and Skol, the last Bond is the First one I've enjoyed in a long time, but I'm a massive fan of the Bourne trilogy.
MattM4 0
Couldn't agree more Fish and Kets. Instant fan of Craig as Bond I think he very much looks the part. Looking forward to the new one!
