I wouldn't say he's overrated though he hasn't been in top form this season but I reckon he'd most certainly be over-valued by West Ham.

ewerk 31600
As far as I know he's only had one injury since then, hardly makes him a perma-crock.
Glen 0
I don't think Riise is overrated at all. He's performing as an integral part of one of the best teams in the world at the moment, which would make him a good signing at worst.
khay 10
Newcastle boss Keegan keen on Liverpool's Hyypiatribalfootball.com - January 23, 2008 Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia has emerged as a target for Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan. The Finnish defender is coming towards the end of his contract at Anfield, and it is widely thought that at 34 he will not be offered another one. Keegan is looking to add an experienced Premier League centre-half to his squad, and reports suggest he could be set to pay £1m to take Hyypia to St James's Park during this month's transfer window. Watching the game on Monday night, I wondered if there is a greater moaning bastard than Hyypia in football? Archetypal scouser, I guess. Yes, he's had one bad injury since his last really bad injury. Now fuck off. I'd hardly call 6 weeks out a bad injury and is hardly rare for someone coming back from a long term injury (which happened to be a bone break which is fairly unavoidable) so don't get all worked up because it's becoming clear that you're talking complete bollocks. He nearly missed the cup final with injury too didn't he? Which was before that injury (the ankle one) and the ACL one. Bad injury record since arriving at West Ham anyway. I wouldn't know about his time at Norwich and Crewe admittedly. Perma-crocked was probably OTT but I'd be concerned about signing another striker who seems to be fairly injury-prone.
